I was born in Uganda of a Rwandese father and a Ugandan mother. I was raised and educated in Uganda. I have over nine years of teaching experience, in four different schools in Uganda as well as at ISKR. My special interests lie in spending leisure time with my family and creating art at Inema Art Center. I have a wife and two beautiful daughters, one of whom attends ISKR.
I am a drama teacher/ actor/ director/ playwright and I performed in the theatre for over 600 performances (Joop van den Ende: My Fair Lady (Paul van Vliet, Vera Mann), Evita (Pia Douwes) and Singin’ in the Rain (Fred Butter)) as well as having experience in TV and film.
From 2004 to 2012 I was a drama teacher at the School of Performing Arts at the Hanze University, Groningen, Netherlands.
I wrote and/or directed quite a number of productions -and did some dramaturgy on the side.
Although I thoroughly enjoy performing myself, I prefer teaching and directing.
I left the Netherlands in 2012, teaching in South Africa and Kenya, before coming to Rwanda in 2014.
I grew up in Burundi, central Africa where I went to the French international school of Bujumbura. I stayed in Burundi until the Baccalaureat and then went back to Europe to study.
Before coming here I was living in Mozambique, teaching French and Spanish in the IB programme. I am also an examiner for the DELF / DALF certifications.
Before Mozambique, I worked in Lesotho, a small but mighty landlocked country in the south of Africa. I also worked in the remote Orkney islands in the far north of Scotland. In my free time, I love skydiving, abseiling and extreme sports.
I am a great outdoor fan, I love hiking, horse riding and discovering new places.
I am originally from Rwanda and have 5 years of experience in teaching. I hold a Bachelors of Science (Honors) degree in Physiotherapy from National University of Rwanda (College of Medicine and Health Science). I am currently completing a Masters Degree at Mount Kenya University. Before coming to ISKR I have worked as a physiotherapist, a trainer for the Rwandan national football team and a teacher in a Rwandan school. I have a three year old son at ISKR.
