I am a drama teacher/ actor/ director/ playwright and I performed in the theatre for over 600 performances (Joop van den Ende: My Fair Lady (Paul van Vliet, Vera Mann), Evita (Pia Douwes) and Singin’ in the Rain (Fred Butter)) as well as having experience in TV and film. From 2004 to 2012 I was a drama teacher at the School of Performing Arts at the Hanze University, Groningen, Netherlands. I wrote and/or directed quite a number of productions -and did some dramaturgy on the side. Although I thoroughly enjoy performing myself, I prefer teaching and directing. BA & MA – University of Florida
Graduate Certificate in Conservation Biology, University of Central Florida
Professional Teaching Certificate, Elementary K-6, State of Florida

I grew up and have lived most of my life in Florida which has made me a huge Florida Gator fan! I have 12 years of elementary teaching experience and last year I had the amazing opportunity to teach 4 grade in Cairo, Egypt. After visiting Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in February 2013, I fell in love with East Africa and knew I needed to get back here to live. I am excited to be in Rwanda and be a part of the ISKR family! When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, hiking, SCUBA diving, hanging out with my cat and watching Florida Gator sports!
